Core Values & PBIS
Building a School Where Every Student Can Thrive
At Central Mountain Middle School, we believe that every student deserves to learn in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment. Our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework helps us teach, recognize, and reinforce the behaviors that lead to success both inside and outside the classroom.
Rather than simply reacting to behavior, we focus on teaching expectations, building positive relationships, celebrating growth, and providing additional support when students need it.
Our Core Values
Recognizing Positive Choices
At CMMS, we believe positive behavior deserves to be recognized and celebrated. Throughout the school year, students have opportunities to earn PBIS Points for demonstrating our core values of being Present, Responsible, Respectful, Kind, and Safe. Those points can be used for classroom and school rewards, while additional recognition comes through programs such as Wildcat of the Month, PBIS School-Wide activities, monthly incentives, quarterly celebrations, and Recognition Rallies. By celebrating positive choices, we reinforce the behaviors that help every Wildcat learn, grow, and contribute to a positive school community.
Partnering with Families
Creating a positive school culture is a partnership between school and home. We encourage families to review our core values, celebrate positive choices, and work with us whenever additional support is needed. Together, we can help every Wildcat grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
